Let's Make Baby Quilts! {week 32}

I love using baby quilts to try out new techniques. Helen, this week's baby quilt tutorial, came about because I wanted to whip up a quick project to try out a new ruler on.

Teenage daughter thinks it looks like "a Strawberry Shortcake quilt with Keno cherries." I'm pretty sure there aren't cherries in Keno, but it's not like I spend any more time at the casino than she does. (Not as bad as it sounds -- the whole family loves their buffet and no one does any gambling.)

I think this is the second baby quilt I've used the "birthing" technique on. I really like the way it worked with the wavy edge.

How do you finish the edges on your baby quilts?

Let's Make Baby Quilts Linky Party Rules:

Link directly to your post or specific Flickr photo. Your post can be about a baby quilt that's finished, or in progress, or you can be writing about what you have planned, but it's got to be about baby quilts. While we're still gathering steam, you're welcome to link to baby quilt posts that aren't brand new, but please don't submit the same post or picture more than once. I'd love it if you linked back to my site, either with a text link or the Let's Make Baby Quilts! button.

I think that technique is perfect for the wavy edge. I think I get stuck in binding is the only way mode.
